  • Founded in 1811, initially called "Royal Frederick University"

  • The University was established by the king of Denmark and Norway, Frederick VI

  • The University of Oslo became a main institution to help with Norwegian political and cultural independence

  • The University of Oslo offers 73 master´s programs taught in English such as Astronomy, Bioscience, Fluid Mechanics, Social Anthropology, Computational Science

  • You can also choose between four general programs (social or natural sciences) on the bachelor´s or master´s level (it´s meant to expand your previous education or start in a new field of study)
