BRIEF HISTORY:

  • Located in Melbourne, Victoria

  • Monash University’s motto is Ancora Imparo, meaning "I am still learning"

  • The number of students is approximately 86,000

  • The student-faculty ratio is 24:1

  • Established in 1958, Monash is the second-oldest university in Victoria.

  • Named after Sir John Monash, a prominent Australian military leader and engineer.

  • The original campus was located in Clayton, Victoria, and opened its doors to students in 1961.

  • It has since expanded to multiple campuses across Victoria and internationally, including Malaysia, China, India, and Indonesia.

DEGREE PROGRAMMES

  •  Offers more than 200 undergraduate courses across 10 faculties.

  • Some popular degrees include Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business, and Bachelor of Biomedical Science.

  • Students can select one or two majors and a minor in various disciplines.

  • Minors typically consist of four units of study, spread across different levels.
