"The program offered courses focused on scientific research, with theoretical and practical teaching, and many concrete projects, especially with professionals in the sector."
How and why did you choose your university?
I chose this university as part of a double degree course with the University of Nantes, where I was.
For this double degree, applications were made internally at my school.
What did you major in, and what did you think of the program?
My major was food science. The programme offered courses focused on scientific research, with theoretical and practical teaching, and many concrete projects, especially with professionals in the sector.
So it was very interesting and professionally rich.
How did you find your career path?
My career path was built gradually, over the course of opportunities, and my school curriculum.
What was your favourite class?
It was not a direct course, but a group research project. The project consisted of formulating a food product for a company. All the stages of the training and manufacturing were studied, which was really interesting and formative.
Was it easy to build relationships with your professors, or were theyn’t approachable?
Yes, because the teachers were very available to supervise us on the different projects.
How did you get involved on campus?
I was not very engaged on campus. However, I practiced many sports like boxing and running outside of school.
Did you enjoy the dorm life?
There were no dorm rooms, but I was staying in a university residence, in a small individual studio.
What was the greatest challenge you faced in college?
Delivering projects on time.
What would you say is the most significant difference between college and the “real world”?
In the "real world" - the professional world, there are no teachers to help and correct you, and it feels like every day is exam day, because all tasks are important.
